Theatre on Ice

Peninsula Skating Club
Theatre on Ice Teams
What is Theatre on Ice? and Why should I try it?
Jumps, spins, choreography, dancing, movement, synchronized performance, ensemble skating and theatrical drama...on ice.
The sport of Theatre on Ice continues to increase in popularity around the world. In fact, the first Theatre on Ice 2010 World Championships “Nations Cup” was recently held in Toulouse, France.
Peninsula Skating Club has two Theatre on Ice Teams
Redwood City Ice Theatre
(training at Nazareth Ice Oasis in Redwood City, CA)
&
Ice Crystals Theatre on Ice
(training at Sharks Ice Fremont in Fremont, CA)
Our teams are members of US Figure Skating representing Peninsula Skating Club.
Skaters Benefits from Involvement with Ice Theatre:
-It’s a lot of FUN!
-Connect and skate with friends having like interests and schedules.
-Being part of a supportive “team” in a traditionally “individual” sport.
-Increased experience with choreography, artistry, performance, and theatrical ensemble skating.
-Additional Ice Time / Dance / Off-ice practice.
-Improvement in skating skills and performance
-Travel Opportunities for competition, both National and International.
-A fun supplemental opportunity for a competitive skater to perform and compete in a group; away from the pressures of individual competition.
-A perfect opportunity for skaters looking to transition away from singles skating, while continuing to remain competitive on a national level.
