Updated: Oct 13, 2023

It is with much sadness I report the passing of one of our on February 25, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. He was a life long resident of San Jose, graduate of Bellarmine Prep and Santa Clara University. Alexia, Tony and Rebecca’s daughter was a dance competitor. They became valued members of the Peninsula Skating Club, chairing localand qualifying competitions with Becky chairing the hospitality committee. Tony was instrumental in bringing the ISU 1992 World Championships to our area and in winning the bid for PSC to host the 1996 US Championships in San Jose , which he chaired. Their hosting talents were acclaimed world wide; opening their lovely home to the officials to relax, eat and enjoy good company. Mementos from the “dinner” are in the USFS Museum. Never to be forgotten were the great parties held for PSC at Tony’s place of business (with pool).

Tony was Preisdent of PSC and Board member for many years; also Treasurer of USFSA. With his unlimited vision, Tony helped set up the Bay Area Skating Foundation with the profits from the 1996 US Championships for the benefit of PSC. Tony is survived by his wife, Rebecca, sister Marianne and three children and their spouses and six grandchildren, he is predeceased by his son David. He was truly a Gem and his time with PSC will never be forgotten.
