CCIA Competitions & Programs Report
As of July 11, 2026 meeting​

1. National Qualifying Series (NQS), Pacific Coast Sectionals (Singles), U.S. Finals (pairs/dance), U.S. Championships

   • 2026-27 NQS local competitions.

     • Skate St. Moritz (SMISC) in Oakland [for Singles] – Sept. 11 – 13, 2026

   • NQS skater application registration

     • Series application is open. Skaters must register for the series before an NQS event in order for their score to be ranked. Final deadline is Oct. 1, 2026.

   • 2027 Pacific Coast Sectional Singles Final, U.S. Pairs Final, U.S. Dance Final, U.S. Development Team Championships & U.S. Championships

     • Pacific Coast Sectional Singles Final in San Jose, CA (PSC) – Nov. 16 – 22, 2026

     • U.S. Dance Final in Bloomfield, MI – Nov. 9 – 15, 2026

     • U.S. Pairs Final in Norwood, MA – Nov. 2 – 8, 2026

     • U.S. Figure Skating Development Team Championships in Salt Lake City, UT – Jan. 2 – 5, 2027

     • U.S. Figure Skating Championships in West Valley City, UT – Jan. 5 – 10, 2027
        

2. U.S. Collegiate Championships & Invitational

   • 2026 in Richfield, MN – July 17 – 19, 2026

     • Per Board action in March 2026, this will be the final  U.S. Collegiate Championships event.
        

3. Intercollegiate Skating

   • 2027 Skates on the Bay Classic in San Jose, CA – Feb. 19 – 21, 2027

   • 2027 National Intercollegiate Finals TBD

   • Area colleges with registered programs (2025-26 season): San Jose State, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis
      

4. High School Skating

   • 2027 Pacific Coast Sectional HS Team Final TBD (March or April 2027)

   • Current registered teams: Bay Area Skating Team (SF), Peninsula SC HS Team (SJ), Sacramento Area HS Team (Roseville),Silicon Valley Region Skating HS Team (Fremont)
      

5. Synchronized Skating – Qualifying events

   • 2027 Synchro Sectionals & U.S. Synchro Championships

     • Pacific Coast Synchro Sectionals in Highland Ranch, CO – Jan. 28 – 30, 2027

     • U.S. Synchro Championships in Henderson, NV – Feb. 22 – 27, 2027

   • 2028 Bid to host U.S. Synchro Championships in consideration

   • Synchro9 approved to be a part of the 2030 Olympics
      

6. Adult Skating – Qualifying events

   • 2027 Adult Sectional Championships and U.S. Adult Championships

     • Pacific Coast Sectionals in Irvine, CA – Mar. 12 – 14, 2027

     • U.S. Adult Championships in Rochester, MI – Apr. 7 – 10, 2027
        

7. Excel Series

   • 2026 Excel Series completed. See series standings

   • 2026 Excel National Final & Festival in Boston, MA – July 15 – 19, 2026

   • Excel Series application registration is closed.
      

8. Solo Dance Series

   • 2026 Solo Dance Series local competitions

     • Spring Jubilee in San Jose (completed)

   • 2026 National Solo Dance Final will be in Kalamazoo, MI – Sept. 16 – 19, 2026

   • Solo Dance Series application registration is closed.

   • As of 10/1/2026, all competitions that are not part of the solo dance series but offer solo pattern dance events, must use the solo dance series selections.
      

9. National Showcase

   • 2026 National Showcase will be in Denver, CO – Aug. 3 – 8, 2026

   • 2027 National Showcase TBA (expected dates – Aug. 2 – 7, 2027)

   • Showcase will have a Series starting with the upcoming season. Clubs interested in being a part of the Showcase Series need to complete the series application.

     • Series application is due August 1st.

     • Clubs agree to comply with Series requirements, including judging panels and levels.

     • Series will be similar to Excel & Solo Dance and will be how skaters qualify to the National Showcase event.
        

10. Theatre on Ice (TOI)

    • 2026 National Theatre on Ice competition in Irvine, CA – June 23 – 27, 2026
